Privacy Policy

ECHO-X Mother is operated by HERA. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect: the name, country, and city you enter; whether you are pregnant or have a baby and the week or age you choose; your device location if you allow it; your answers to evaluations and research questionnaires; and notes you write in your journey. The app creates an anonymous account on your device so this information can be saved; no email or password is required.

How we use it: to personalize guidance in the app, to show local climate and air-quality information, and, only if you join a research study, to share the information that study needs with its researchers. To show the name of your area, your approximate coordinates are also sent to BigDataCloud’s reverse-geocoding service; nothing else is shared with it.

Where it is stored: in a database hosted by Supabase, protected by access rules. You can read your own data. Authorised HERA staff can access the information you provide in order to operate and support the service; your journey notes are visible to staff only if you join a research study.

Your choices: you can decline location access, leave a research study at any time, and ask HERA to delete your data by contacting the address below.
